North and South: Sand vs. Snow

Posted By Angie Shoemaker @ Feb 11th 2010 4:15pm In: Pawleys Island Area Information

Now I know why I moved South 12 years ago... This has been the coldest Winter we have had... but still no snow! Tired of freezing up North? Come on down to the Coast of South Carolina to warm-up a bit & enjoy the sand vs the snow!

I still walk the beach three times a week at sunrise and swim in the heated, health club pool afterwards (which is a great deal at only $400/year for a family). There are always people walking, jogging, biking, enjoying watersports and more because the area is just too beautiful to stay indoors!  We must try to stay active in order to burn the calories we take in from all the fantastic meals at all our area restaurants.
I'd like to share a little about the Super Bowl party we were invited to at our neighbor's house in Willbrook Plantation in Pawleys Island.  The couple hosting, who bought their home 1.5 years ago, were concerned about meeting people and making friends when they moved into the neigborhood.  Well, they seemed to have made many new friends, through the community, which has several clubs including book, dinner, bridge, poker & bowling, as well as golf & tennis. Through all these activities, many friends were made and the couple had 50 guests at their party; it just goes to show how friendly & hospitable everyone is.
As a realtor, it is truly a pleasure showing people our wonderful area, because it sells itself! Please check out my web site www.PawleysIslandRealEstate.info to see pictures of our little Heaven on Earth!

Have a wonderful day!
