Fly your flag!

Hello-

Today, this blog is about our nation’s triumphant execution of Osama Bin Laden and how overjoyed I am with tears streaming down my face.  I am not one to promote or tolerate violence but in this case, justice was long, long overdue.

I had the privilege of working for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center for five years before I retired at an early age. I set up their New York Short-Term Bonds Municipal Trading Desk and in doing so, hired young men & women to achieve the responsibility of doing a super New York Trading job.  Little did I know, I was indirectly sealing the fate of some of those lives. We had a wonderful trading desk so full of energy and life, we worked hard & played hard and were an incredibly strong team. New York traders, simply put, are a different kind of breed.

As a young woman on Wall Street, I closely watched those two towers go up floor-by-floor from the ground...For months, all over lower Manhattan you could hear the pile-drivers going deep in the earth BOOM...BOOM...BOOM   Then, years later, only to see them come down in such a quick, crumbling nightmare.  My whole firm of Cantor Fitzgerald was wiped-out along with many friends and team players.  I give tribute to our great country’s men and women who sacrificed so much in the hunting-down of and finally, the elimination of Osama Bin Laden forever.  God bless America and the people who are on our front lines everyday so we can have the privilege of living a truly good life.  My husband Bob and I are flying our flag in celebration and I hope you will consider doing the same.
