Now that we are merging into fall and the off-season, locally speaking, I am optimistic that the real estate market will continue to improve. Here, in the Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet areas, it appears that we are coming back considerably strong. It continues to be a buyer's market and those with cash are King! It seems that the sellers have adjusted to the new market according to their listing prices and they are firmly sticking to them. We have had some great sales; I am currently at 76 contracts, just over $24,000,000 in volume for the year. Year-to-Date I am #98 of 53,000 RE/MAX Agents, #1 between North & South Carolina RE/MAX agents and the #2 agent on the entire Grand Strand out of 1,875 agents. Thanks to clients, I get additional advertising through word-of-mouth, as the people who are moving here are finding out about and sharing all the wonderful things this area has in store for them. They say once you get the sand between your toes and the salty air in your nose, you'll find it almost impossible to forget this area. I could try to tell you about all he places to go, things to do, sights to see, but it is even more enjoyable if you journey out to discover the endless opportunities and activities on your own!

The area's affordability, family-friendliness and beautiful beaches have landed the Grand Strand in great travel rankings by U.S. News & World Reports, based on recommendations from the website users and travel writers.

Those who vacation here year after year can't get enough of the laid-back Low Country lifestyle and eventually decide it is time to call it home. There's a great inventory of properties available for those looking to purchase in the area; certainly something to suit everyone!

If you are seeking an excuse to relocate to the Southern Grand Strand, I've got a laundry list of reasons to pack-up and head for the Low Country...  from the crisp, salty air so delicately mixed with the fragrance of jasmine and honeysuckle, the soft golden sands & warm waves of the Atlantic Ocean, dozens of golf courses to suit all levels of play & skill... Famous Brookgreen Gardens sculptural & botanical park boasts 9,100 acres of gorgeous natural landscapes, over 2,000 species of plants, more than 1,400 sculptures, numerous fountains, excursions, a Low Country Zoo, gift shop, workshops/classes for artists, sculptors and so much more.  For the history buff, a visit to Huntington Beach State Park and Atalaya Castle may be in order... learn the story of the Huntington family and find out why Pawleys Island is know as 'America's first beach resort'.  Sit down to a fabulous lunch at any number of local bistros, bars & grills, browse the Pawleys Island Hammock Shops and relish in the shabby luxury of this wonderful Oceanside village!

Murrells Inlet is known as the Seafood Capital of South Carolina and jokingly known to locals as a 'Quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem'.  The Murrells Inlet Waterfront Marshwalk provides incredible views of the inlet, several restaurants, family-friendly night-life often with live music and an all-around great ambiance. Fresh catches of the day can be found at local fish markets and in most restaurants, serving up the best fare the sea has to offer. Feeling adventurous? Charter a boat & Captain to take you on an amazing deep-sea fishing tour and catch your own dinner! For those who prefer more action, there are plenty of options to try such as parasailing, jet-ski rentals, amusement park rides, zip-lines and the list goes on and on. Not an adrenaline junkie?  No worries, the possibilities are endless when seeking relaxing, carefree activities or entertainment. There are various live music theaters, dinner shows, social clubs, art galleries, endless shopping opportunities, day-spas and so very much more. No matter you level of leisure or thrill-seeking, there is something for everyone on the Grand Strand!
