Fall: What a Wonderful Season

I get my most answers walking the beach at sunrise.  It is my alone time to sort out all that is going on in my life.

Running a very successful real estate business can be very trying at times.  The market is tough but there are still alot of people interested in the Grand Strand area of South Carolina.

I just ran through my whole data base and I get the same response from most people: 'If only I could sell my house up North, I would be there yesterday!'

I was very lucky to be able to move down here 13 years ago. What a quiet area it was back then... I remember going out for lunch on Sunday at a raw clam bar and asking for a glass of beer and I was told not on Sunday.  Well coming down here from up North I didn't know anything about such "blue" laws but all that has since changed.  Prior to moving to Pawleys Island, I was trading Municipal Bonds on an New York trading desk and my husband said 'I have had it with the cold weather and the high taxes! We are moving South!' What a shock- to be trading one month and then moving here the next!

I didn't realize how blessed I was to be able to move here.  Pawleys Island and the surrounding areas are just what I had been looking for.  The beauty, nature, wonderful people, Southern hospitality,  great restuarants, local art... I could go on and on.

Now my life is filled with an ever-wonderful husband, great friends, long walks on the beach at sunrise and a sense of well-being.

As I enter a new season of Fall, I want to share with all my family, friends, clients that I sometimes I have to pinch myself to see if this is real.  Take care, stay well.

Sincerely,

Angie Shoemaker
